LOCATION
DIRECTIONS TO EVENT: Take 1-35 to the 2nd street. Turn right. At this point you are heading east. Edmond Park is two miles down on the right side. Look for the signs. Enter the park
Map to Park Entrance. Parking will be in two fields. Please do not park on the road. NO PETS ALLOWED!
Event Information
This is a
TRI-OKC managed event. To stay on top of the latest information and updates go to the TRI-OKCMessage Board.
Transition closes at 6:30am and Race Start is 7:00am.
It will be hot, so be sure to properly hydrate before and during this triathlon!

USAT AGE UP RULES
USAT has imposed a new “AGE-UP” ruling. If you age into a new AG at anytime during the year, you will be racing that AG all year long. Example: DOB-12-31-09 turning 45-you will be in the 45-49 AG beginning 1-01-09.

THE COURSE
USAT Sanctioned courses. The swims are an open water swim in Lake Arcadia. Make sure you are trained to swim in open water. The swim will start at the UCO boat house and end up on the beach to the west of it
Oly Swim Course Map and Sprint Swim Course Map. This will not be a wetsuit swim, anticipated water temperature will be in the 80’s. The 40K bike course is out and back. It is a very hilly ride. 40K Oly Bike Course Map The 10K run course is out and back10K Oly Run Course Map. Flat for about 2 miles then it takes to a great challenging hill. Tbe Sprint course will be on the same course as the Olympic distance….just shorter out & backs 11 mile Sprint Bike Course Map and 2 mile Sprint Run Course Map.

Hillapalooza Triathlon(s) Olympic Distance 1500mS/40kB/10kR & Sprint Distance 400mS/10mb/2mr START TIME: SUNDAY, August 16th, 7:00am
Course is an open water swim in Lake Arcadia 400 meter for Sprint and 1500m for Olympic Distance.

Bike course is a challenging course heading out on Route 66 then turning south on Post Rd to Memorial (This will be the turnaround for the Sprint Course). The long course continues east on Memorial, then North on Hogsback & onto Indian Meridian to NE164. Head west on 164th and turn right on Post to return to T2.

The run course heads back out onto Rt 66(turnaround for Sprint at 1 mile marker) and the Olympic course continues on east then out and back across the dam.

A brief racers meeting session will be held @ 6:30am to go over COURSE RULES AND ANY CHANGES.
You are required to know USAT Rules while on the course.

Standard USAT Age Group awards will be given, including Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Clydesdale, Athena, No guarantee on swag after entrant #200. Get your entry in early!

REGISTRATION/PACKET PICKUP
There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS. NO TRANSFERS & NO REFUNDS. YOU, AND ONLY YOU, MAY PICK UP YOUR RACE PACKET. Have your photo ID plus your USAT membership card, unless you’re purchasing a one-day pass. You cannot pickup somebody else’s packet and vice versa.

PARK GATE ENTRY INFO: All racers entries are included in the race fee. Spectators will pay at the gate upon entry. The price for spectators is 1.50 per person: Car w/2 cost would be $3.00; a car with 5 people would be $7.50. ,

There will be parking on grass.Please follow volunteer directions to this area. No parking on the road! NO PETS ALLOWED!
CHAMPIONCHIP TIMING
This will be Championchip Timed Event.
DG Roadracing Calendar and Race Results here! You will be given your chip race day morning. It will be removed after you cross the finish line. If you drop out of the race PLEASE be sure to return the chip to a “Chip” volunteer at the finish line. If not returned, you will incur a $35 replacement fee.

TRANSITION AND GEAR CHECK
Transition area is for race entrants, ONLY! Bikes, helmets, and gear will be checked prior to entry into transition area. You must have your race number prior to racking your bike. You cannot take your bike out of transition once it is racked. NO ONE will be allowed in transition area until the Race Director announces that the transition area is open.
