I RODE OUTSIDE TODAY (without frostbite)!!!

Postby Chap » Tue Feb 20, 2007 11:10 pm

Oh, I'm sure everyone else has already had several rides outside this year but I was really stoked to get out and ride. It helps I'm off work today and made it out before the temp dropped.

Next time, if someone could kindly turn the wind down a bit, I would appreciate it.

Just once, to test the new bike. Spent the rest of the day feeling like I was going to hack up a lung - cool weather doesn't sit well with my asthma. Plus it sucks being cold.

Outside? Bike? What are you talking about?????
Glad you had a good outside ride!!! Don't know if we can turn down the wind for you, tho, as it looks like it's blowing at gale force for the next month.
I haven't ridden outside in at least 3 months. Just too cold for this wimp. My outside bike legs are going to be begging for mercy come the first race...

it was twitchy at first - guess that's what trainer-only rides on a road bike will do to you.

after about 1/2 mile it was sweet though. can't wait for warm weather.

It's the 07 Silver Ultegra. Don't laugh Becky, I'll probably be getting a new helmet to match.

Were you riding at Hefner on Tuesday? I rode by there and saw someone with a silver dual riding with a kid.

You gotta match the helmet and the bike! I wanted a blue rudy project kontact helmet to match my Blue, but the blue colored helmet and blue rudy project sunglasses would look funny together. It looks like I'll be keeping my white helmet to match with the white on the bike. I still haven't decided on bottle cages either. Do i want blue ones? white ones? Carbon ones? And for race wheels should i get hed jets with blue decals that match my bike or save money by buying flashpoints? Geez...sometimes trying to look good is more difficult than actually training! :D

I just bought a Kuota K-Factor and love it. I am praying that my Lazy-E bike times don't drop with the new bike. That would make me sick to my stomach.

New Bike = Faster Times.......Right?

K-factor is a cool bike. "Regarding new bike = faster times" hypothesis, I say yes with certainty, and here's why:

New bike = more motivation and excitement = getting out to train more often and for longer = getting faster.
