Time to get dirty at The Dirty Dozen Mud Run! This mud run/adventure race will take place on the weekend of the International Festival in Lawton, Oklahoma, and net proceeds are to benefit CASA of Southwest Oklahoma. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Southwest Oklahoma advocates for abused and neglected children who are currently in foster care in Comanche County.
This is going to be a fantastic race, featuring a dozen separate obstacles---which includes two 100' slip and slides, a 50' mud pit, and plenty of other challenges to leave you wet, spent, and, best of all, covered in MUD! You can register online at http://signmeup.com/78458 or go to www.breakaway-racing.com and click on the Dirty Dozen page for more info or a paper registration.
All those registered by September 17th will get a very cool, and very FREE, t-shirt, and all race finishers and volunteers will get a WWII replica helmet (yes, we said helmet). Anyone registering after this date cannot be guaranteed a t-shirt. Late registration and packet pickup will take place on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at First National Bank located at 708 N. Sheridan Road and also from 8:00 to 10:00 AM at the race site on Saturday, the 24th. Registrations are limited to 1,000 unless the demand is much greater (and then we'll try our best to accomodate those interested in participating).
A cleanup area will be provided, but you should bring a towel and a change of clothes (unless, that is, you just enjoy walking around in wet clothes).
