Overview
This is the final race of the 2011 TRI-OKC season. Great for beginners but also very competitive for our veteran athletes. Truly fast and flat! The very popular Fall Classic TRI-OKC shirt is guaranteed to the first 200 entrants. No discounts
Course Description
Two Events!!!
Short Course is 2mr/10mb/2mr
Long Course is an F-1 format of 2mr/10mb/2mr/10mb/2mr.

THE COURSE
Transition will be in the north end of Rt 66 Park. You will have assigned corrals, and they will be staged according to event and age group.
Start and Finish Line will be by the main park Pavillion.
The Run: It is entirely on a closed course within the confines of Route 66 Park on concrete, asphalt, and boardwalk. 2 mile out and back, flat and fast with some technical turns and bridges.
The Bike: You will exit transtion and head to 23rd street (0.3 miles), then after exiting the park you will head east (left turn) on 23rd to the main lake road (0.1 miles). Turn right and head south/east to the dam. A bike turnaround at the west side of the dam at mile 2.0 miles. Then you will head back and will then head north to the Old Route 66 Bridge on the northside of Lake Overholser. Another turnaround just after exiting the bridge (6.5 mile) and head back to transition. For a total of 10 miles.
Racing Strategy
Race Day Timeline:
10:00 AM Transition Set Up
11:00 AM Packet Pick Up Begins. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION! Registration Closes on November 5th!!!
11:30 AM Transition Opens
1:15 PM Packet Pick Up and Transition Close
1:15 PM Pre Race Meeting
1:30 PM RACE STARTS!!!

PACKET PICKUP
Packet Pick Up will be Sunday, November 6th at the Race Site. This is the only time packet pick up will be offered. Participants MUST have a valid ID along w/a current USAT License. Each participant will only be allowed to pick up his/her own packet. This will be strictly enforced. You will not be able to purchase an annual license at packet pickup. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION
USAT SANCTIONED EVENT
USAT Sanctioned Event. We follow all USAT rules, guidelines I need to know the rules and will be officiated. All athletes are responsible for knowing the rules.

TRANSITION AREA
Opens at 11:30am. Transition open to MARKED ATHLETES ONLY

Spectator Tips
There will be parking within the park, however, if you are doing the Sprint or a spectator...you are encouraged to park outside the park, next to the lake. The Park parking will close to ALL in and out traffic at 1:30pm and WILL NOT REOPEN till the last biker is out on the F1 bike course which will be approximately 3:30pm!!
Spectators!!! Excellent course for viewing, either by the playground (kid friendly), or area between the run course and lake road...plus we'll have the observation tower open, too.

AWARDS and SHIRTS
Awards will be given in the following areas: Standard USAT Age Groups Youth Age Groups Clydesdale / Athena Relay Teams (Male / Female / Co-Ed) Each entrant receives the always coveted Fall Classic Long Sleeve Shirt to wear all fall/winter until next season!
2012.... it may be ugly, but at least I'll be racing :-)
