TRI-OKC Multisport Expo & Clinics, January 30th Devon/OCU Boathouse, 5:30-8:30pm

Get ready to jump into 2012 with both feet and pick your lifestyle up a notch by participating in the world of multisport. Whether it’s triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, or aquabike it’s worth checking out this event.

Monday, Jan 30th, 5:30-8:30pm Devon/OCU Boathouse, 616 SE 6th St, OKC, OK 73129 Cost: $0

The door is open to everyone!!! We hope you will be there! We will have Pro Triathletes Amanda Stevens and Daniel Tigert, OKC Memorial Marathon Winner Conor Holt and his wife Camille Heron who finished 26th at this US Olympic Trials Qualifier with a PR of 2:37, USAT Certified Trainer with Conquer Training Ryan Ellis. Vendors/Organizations: Schlegel’s Bicycles, Red Coyote Running, Oklahoma Bicycle Society, OKC Landrunners, Redman Triathlon, DG Race Productions, and more….

Vendors that specialize in swim, bike and run equipment and apparel will be on hand displaying what they have. Also, there will be clinics that focus on each of those sports.

Headliner: USA Pro Champion at the Ironman 70.3 distance and the Fastest Female Swimmer at the Kona Ironman World Championships, Amanda Stevens, will kick off the event with a motivational speech, sure to get you fired up about 2012! She'll be around all evening with AWESOME sponsor giveaways, tips, and advice.

Swim Clinic: Devon/OCU Boathhouse has a 2-lane Endless Pool that you will be able to utilize and obtain stroke instruction from local Pro Triathlete Daniel Tigert. Daniel will be tackling longer distance triathlons in 2012 and has a strong high school and collegiate swim background that he will share. Due to the fact that we can only put 2 people in the pool at a time and limited space, we will be doing several 15 minute sessions. Bring your suit and towel.

Bike Clinic: 6:30pm Bring your bike and trainer and you will be run through a 30 minute cycle workout, or you may utilize one of Devon’s LeMond RevMaster spin bikes (on a 1st come/1st served basis). Ryan Ellis will put you through intervals, drills, and technique while you’re on either a spin bike; however you’re encouraged to bring in your own bike and trainer.
Along with cycling clinic, Schlegel Bicycles will cover fit, maintenance, etc., another reason to bring in your own bike.

Run Clinic: Get tips from local running greats Conor Holt and his wife Camille Heron at 7:00pm. Whether you’re running the OKC Memorial Marathon, your 1st 5K, or wanting to upgrade your run segment of triathlon, you don’t want to miss them.

Devon also has a high-altitude training room (run or bike) that can help you to adapt your body to mimic that “Rocky Mountain High” thin air. Beats having to drive or fly to Colorado….well, maybe ;-)
2012.... it may be ugly, but at least I'll be racing :-)
