Joe Friel's "Your First Triathlon"

Postby TriSooner88 » Wed Mar 07, 2012 3:31 pm

Has anyone used Joe Friel's "Your First Triathlon" book? There is a new edition coming out in April and I am thinking about getting it to help me prepare for my first year of doing the sport.

I have not, but I don't like spending money if I don't have to. There is plenty of free information on websites like www.trinewbie.com and at the library.

That was kinda what I was leaning towards. I have learned a lot in the past month by reading forums and visiting websites.

....or, pick somebody's brain. ...or, find a training partner/mentor.
2012.... it may be ugly, but at least I'll be racing :-)

All things I am hoping to do :D . I have a friend (in far better shape than I) who is going to train and compete with me, and that helps me A LOT! I like have someone to help hold me accountable. Too bad he is not around for my 5 AM workouts (so hard to get up for those in the morning).
