Sounds like fun, I wouldn't mind car pooling down there. How far of a drive is it? Can an out and back be done?

I'm pretty sure Bret Sholar did this event 2 years ago.

I know some guys who have done it several years and they have really enjoyed it. They are actually doing it again this year.

I have run the event twice, and have volunteered a couple of times as well.

It can be the fastest course you've been on or the slowest, depending on the weather. The loamy, soft dirt trails turn to one big mess with a little rain. My 20 and 25K PR's are on that course.

One quick example of my comment is shown in a review of Bret's last two time down to the event.

His 2005 time, in the 50 miler, in poor weather was 13.5 hours, the next year (2006) in great weather, his time was 7:47!

Suzi Cope is a great RD!

I would strongly recommend this event to you all.
